Here are answers to some frequently asked questions (FAQ), or at least questions we think you might be wondering about. Have a question that isn’t answered here? Get in touch via the Contact page.

The simplest way is to use Google Maps, either on your computer or mobile phone/tablet. Copy the coordinates from the website here and paste them into the Google Maps search box. Click the Directions button to start turn-by-turn navigation to that spot. The downside to using Google Maps to navigate to a spot is that it often doesn't work well once you get out of cell service.

For offline map navigation, I use an app called Gaia GPS. I know that OnX is another popular app that is similar. Both apps allow you to download maps for offline use and to import GPS coordinates. I plan my trips (i.e., I plot the locations of spots I want to visit) using the free online CalTopo mapping service. Once I have a trip planned out, I export the CalTopo map as a GPX or KML file and then import that file into my Gaia app.

Exactly how you cancel depends on whether you paid through your credit/debit card directly on the site here (i.e., you entered it directly into the signup form) or whether you signed up via PayPal.

Via Credit Card

If you paid directly via credit/debit card, login and and go to the My Account page. Click the "Subscriptions" link, and click the "Cancel" link next to your subscription.

You will have access to the Adventure Know-How member content until the end of the billing period that you already paid for.

Via PayPal

If you paid with your PayPal balance or with your credit card via PayPal, you cancel through your PayPal account. Directions are provided by PayPal here. You will have access to the Adventure Know-How member content until the end of the billing period that you already paid for. Look for the name "Tristan Higbee" or "Kamchatka Gear," and cancel that.

If your credit card info has expired, you'll need to update or re-enter it. There are a couple of ways to edit your credit card info, and the method that will work best depends on whether you paid through your credit card directly on the site when you signed up or whether you paid with your card through PayPal.

First, try this:

1. Log in to your Adventure Know-How account.
2. Click "My Account" in the top-right corner.
3. Click the "Subscriptions" link.
4. Click the "Update" link to the right of where your credit card expiry info is and enter in the updated info on the next page.

If that option doesn't work, that means you paid through PayPal. To edit that payment info, login to your PayPal account and go to this page to update your credit card information.
